Yes — both, to the same standard. Interior staircases are built for aesthetics and daily structural use. Exterior staircases are built with coastal conditions in mind — the right materials, the right waterproofing, and the right finish for an outdoor environment.
Can you replace an existing staircase in my home?
Yes. Staircase replacement is straightforward for us — we remove the existing structure, assess the opening and surrounding framework, and build a replacement that fits correctly and meets current code requirements.
What materials do you use for exterior stairs on the Gulf Coast?
For coastal exteriors we typically work with pressure-treated timber, composite decking materials, or aluminium depending on the application. We'll advise on what holds up best for your specific location and use case.
